Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Terms of Service”) carefully before using the RevealtIt (the “Service”) operated by Julio Potier (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.
Usage
You can use RevealIt for personal use or professional use. A donation is welcomed is used professionally.
To correctly use the service, you may want to share something that only one person could read.
You have 500 characters to share, so you can share pretty anything regarding access, or personal data.
Paste or type tour message, click on “Get my link”. You’ll be redirected on the creation page where you’ll find a input field containing the secret link.
You can click on “Copy to clipboard” or click the field to copy it yourself.
Now, you can send this link to someone, do not try to open it to check if it’s correct, this will delete the message!
However, do not share something that could be exploited, like a couple “login/password”, just paste the password in RevealIt and share the login using another way like email/chat/sms.
That way, you enforce the security of your data.
Once read (1 time!), the message is deleted forever, no data left in our database.
Personal data
In accordance with the law on data processing, files and freedoms of January 6, 1978, the identifying informations to users may be subject to automated processing.
RevealIt do not add cookies, do not ask for email, do not use any statistic tool, do not store personal data.
When submitting a message to be hide, we store :
- A timestamp so we can expire the message in time ;
- The message, encrypted using “AES-128-CTR” algorythm + a unique seed for each message, so nobody can humanly read the data directly or decrypt without knowing the seed ;
We add a +1 on our counter to track how many times the service has been used.
When read, the message will be deleted instantly, even before being read, no data left in our database.
This website is made with WordPress, however, there is no back-office where an administrator could create/update/modify/read/delete messages, there is no “custom post type”, the system used is the native options WordPress saved as arrays, that way, nobody can read anything from the back-office or Rest Api.
The only way to access the data is a direct access to the database, which means, being hacked and only.
RevealIt use SecuPress to protect itself from attacks, please, don’t try to brute force a 64 random characters URL, the message will be read or destroyed before you could access to it.
